Summer of 2014

Another 3 months have flown by since I last posted, and while my loving husband continues to eagerly remind me to update the blog I get side tracked so easily. It could be because of our crazy toddler ruling the house, the chores I start (and never finish?), or the unexplable tiredness I get from being 24 weeks pregnant!
It is so strange to think we will be moving from being a family of 3 to a family of 4... I have yet to "nest", or to decorate rooms, or to buy many clothes (she may end up wearing her brothers clothes if I dont get on it sooner or later!). We are beyond thrilled to have this new addition, I am nervous to move to having two kids though. That will definately be an adjustment. A wonderful one at that. I often find myself just sitting and watching Daxton run around and play wondering where in the world did my little baby go?? I feel like it was yesterday that he entered this world with that head full of hair and that incredibly contagious personality. How did I get so lucky to be his mom? How did we get so lucky to be parents to such an adventerous and sweet little boy? Everyday I am thankful for his smile. Everyday I am thankful for the amazing chance I have to be with him daily and watch him grow. I can only imagine the struggle moms that work have... Leaving their babies daily and missing so many milestones. I am so thankful for Brad working everyday without complaint and coming home and helping cook, clean, and chase around this little boy. He is the reason we are able to live such a comfortable life. The reason that this little boy is so smart, and funny. He gets it from his dad. I am so proud of the man my husband is and the father he continues to be daily.
This little girl, whatever her name ends up being (which is proving to be quite a challenge..), will be so incredibly loved and cherished. I cannot wait for her to come home with us and for the newest adventure coming to us in only a short 3-4 months.
While the weather has been warm and uneventful... We are making due with the sprinklers, bath tubs, pools and splash pads whenever is possible. Playing outside is not as enjoyable when its 100 degrees. I know I have little to complain about but couldnt it just be a perfect 70 degrees all the time? I know I know... Not possible... A girl can dream though right?
Daxton and I head down to Arizona (115 degrees blech!) in about 3-4 weeks for about 10 days while Brad does his yearly hunting trip. Now I know I gripe about this hunting and the consistant conversations about deer, bows, 4-wheelers and whatever else this time of year entails, but I am so glad he has such a passion for something he loves. I am quite positive Daxton and our other children will come to love it just as much as he does, and when that happens they will be right up there on that moutain along side him.
Okay, thats a fake moutian obviously, but you get the picture.
Until next time..
